This page brings together two separate money flows that are worth not confusing: how you charge your own customers (you sell, you get paid) and how the Platform pays you a commission for bringing in new customers you DON’T manage (the referral program). The operational detail of each screen is in its own guide — Wallet & billing and Brand, team, announcements and activity — this page connects the “why” of both.
How you charge your customers
Section titled “How you charge your customers”You have three possible charging modes, set by Aymar Agents’s team when you’re signed up as a partner (you don’t change them yourself from the console):
- Their Stripe (Connect): your customers pay you directly, into your own connected Stripe account.
- Platform’s Stripe: designed for your own verticals operated as a partner; the charge goes through Aymar Agents’s Stripe on your behalf.
- External: you charge outside the platform, by whatever means you prefer (transfer, cash…); you activate each plan by assigning it directly to the customer, and record the payment received from that customer’s record.
The full procedure for each mode — completing Stripe Connect, recording a manual payment, managing your seat subscription — is in Wallet & billing.
The referral program: what it is and how the money works
Section titled “The referral program: what it is and how the money works”A referral is a customer who arrives at Aymar Agents through your invitation link, signs up on their own (self-service, with email verification), and ends up as a direct Aymar Agents customer — they don’t join your portfolio, you don’t manage them, they don’t show up in Customers and they don’t consume your seat quota. In exchange, you get a commission on what they’re billed for as long as your agreed window lasts.
What matters for understanding the mechanism, without getting into figures (your percentage and how long your window lasts are set by Aymar Agents’s team together with you when you’re signed up as a partner, and can differ from another partner’s):
- First-touch attribution: the first link that customer registers with is the one that counts, permanently — a referral can’t be “stolen” with a later link.
- Frozen at sign-up: your percentage and your window’s length are fixed for THAT specific referral the instant they register, even if your account’s general terms change later on — a referral you already have isn’t affected by a future change.
- The commission is generated with every PAID invoice, never during the trial period — whether by Stripe or by a manual payment Aymar Agents’s team records for that customer: either method triggers the commission the same way.
- Your window starts with that referral’s first paid invoice, not with their sign-up — the trial period doesn’t consume the window.
- You see read-only totals: Aymar Agents’s team settles your commissions in batches, with a payment reference — the payment circuit runs outside the platform, same as the rest of outgoing payments to partners.
Where you see your referrals
Section titled “Where you see your referrals”The Referrals screen (inside Brand, team, announcements and activity) summarizes what’s accrued, settled and pending, and lists every referral with its status — Active, Window ended or Customer unsubscribed — and you get notified via bell and email as soon as any of their statuses change. Check that guide for the column-by-column detail.
When your own charging and referrals mix
Section titled “When your own charging and referrals mix”The two circuits are independent: a customer YOU signed up in Customers is never at the same time your own referral (they’re already in your portfolio, with your own charging configured — previous section); a referral never shows up in your customer portfolio. If you’re unsure about a specific case, open a ticket from My support (Manual 42 · My account and support).
