When you sign up as a Referral-mode partner, your slug also becomes your referral link: https://…/register?ref=slug — the same self-service sign-up screen any agency uses (Manual 22), with the ref parameter added. Share that URL with anyone you want to recommend the Platform to.
When someone signs up with that link and verifies their email with a code (the same verification step as any self-service sign-up), a single referral row is written for that tenant, with two rules that have no exception:
- Permanent first-touch: the first partner link that email registered with is the one that sticks forever. If the same person signs up again later with ANOTHER partner’s link, it isn’t reassigned — a tenant can only have one referrer in its whole lifetime.
- A referral never becomes your customer: they stay 100% direct with the Platform. You don’t see them in your Customers section (Manual 38), you can’t impersonate them, and they don’t use up any of your seats — the only thing you earn is the commission this manual is about.
Note — No sign-up without verification
If someone starts signing up with your link but never confirms their email code, no referral row is created — there’s no possible commission on an account that never finished being born.
